That quote sums up what I am looking for with the models I want to work with. You must be prepared to do both fashion and semi-nude/nude work with me.
I first started out in model photography in 1993 with a Brisbane glamour and nude photographers and model's club run by Owen Watkin. This led me to working for his company as a talent scout and assistant photographer. When the business folded in early 1995 I went out on my own to shoot model portfolios, and also published some of my work in the nudist lifestyle magazine 'Australian Sun & Health'.
After a few years spent in the doldrums, I have now adapted to digital photography and looking for new talent to work with.
My rates of pay for models are $50 per hour for a straight fashion shoot, $75 for semi nude, and $100 for nude. These prices can be negotiated if the model is a high profile one or has a number of years experience in the local industry. I will also do PFT photo shoots for beginner models or if a model approaches me with ideas she wants to use in her portfolio to trade as PFT.
I am not a fan of hardcore pornograpy or explicit photographic or video work, though I do like some fetish and soft erotica that I sometimes portray in my work. I will never publish any photos on the Net that the model is not happy with, regardless of whether it's a paid or PFT shoot.
Unlike some other photographers out there, I prefer to meet models before shooting with them at a local cafe or coffee shop so they know what to expect with the shoots. I do not pull surprises. I also envisage the models bring a friend or escort to shoots, especially when shooting on location.
