Smile-n-pose.deviantart.com is a place used to display artwork from my model's photography. The work is directly available for public purchase as finished "hangable" pieces of Art, both models and clients are able to order in privacy.

I have photographed many new models for their first times. Some photographers would complain at their inexperience, but I find that there is a freshness that I am able to capture in that very first session. You can see it in their eyes when you click the frame off. It is best described when you ask a person to smile for a photo, you never shoot the second they smile. You wait a second or two and their facial muscles relax a little bit for that Natural Smile. The same happens when you pose a person, they hold the pose a second, then the pose changes as they make it their own and you see a slight change and shoot. When the model looks at the photos after, they see "their pose" and feel more confident of their work. The person that is hardest on the photographer, is a model that is not willing to expand their idea of what their image can be. As a side of themselves which is normally not shown, a model may need to develop more than "one good side". For the photographer, it is a gift to be able to capture the images which are "here today and will never EVER again repeat".

Great works of art are painted only once, great photos are shot only once. Just because we may make many actual copies today, does not devalue the original work. It allows more people to appreciate it.
